Seriously?...

I have several fun Layouts of my friend Bev's Grandson, Cody...on Vacation in P.E.I over the past few years... this one is of his "catch of the day", right out of the pond at the end of my property!! hee hee
He loves to visit the Island.. and we love to see him!!
The papers and die cuts are a real mixture of old and new from my stash..and this is also the first time I have created an 8"x8" Layout..I kind of enjoyed that...The journaling is on the back...

Jaelin's Grad Card - 2013

How many times do I hear myself asking "Where did the time go?"...??? hee hee.. this is my very special granddaughter Jaelin's Grad Card..she will be off to High School next Fall..... and I decided to mark the occasion by making a photo card with a recent picture of her enjoying the ocean...and a much earlier one of her when she came to visit me, when I  lived in Florida...

DVD Mini-Books...

These are somewhat time consuming ( especially when I am making 100 of them!! hee hee)...but they house 20 DVD's each and  look very nice on my shelves...Don't they remind you of the old hardcover Reader's Digest books.....??
These books are actually made with empty cracker boxes....an embossing folder by Spellbinder's for the spine cover..a punch by EK Success for the label.... papers by K&Co... ModPodge to seal and LOTS of time and patience..
I will do a tutorial on these books when I am close to being finished.. between getting my yard-work done...and my everyday life-stuff.. there really isn't too much time left over...

Kiara's Birthday Card... 2013

I have moved my Scraproom downstairs to my former office, giving me loads more space..but what a job!! I had to relocate 2000 DVD's to some smaller bookshelves upstairs and I have been VERY busy making mini-books to make them look much prettier up there.. hee hee..I will post  a photo of the mini books.. meanwhile I needed to take a break and make my grandaughter a Birthday Card...I use my Prisma Pencils to color the image and I quite like the result..

Happy Anniversary Card - 2013

..... I am sure some of you have wondered if I had not fallen off the face of the earth...in some ways I had...family issues are not always a happy affair as many of us parents know..and my heart has not been into scrapbooking or much else.
One of my personal resolutions for 2013 has been to get back into scraproom and plug into that creative energy I have so much missed... enuff said :)

I made this simple 5"x7" card yesterday for some very special people who are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary!!  and what a fun couple they are.... I had only taken some photos of the card so I could email them to a fellow crafter..( as you can see by the fact that I had already signed it when I took the photo..hee hee ) and then I realized that I should be sharing it with you, too...so the resolution and lighting are not all that great....but you get the general idea... eh???

Always Remember...

Recently I  found myself having to create some sympathy cards...and they are always so personal and often difficult to make..
I wanted to make one that felt a bit more uplifting ...I think the colors and butterflies really helped a lot...
