HKC - Stuck On You...

I am always torn between crafting and all those "other"  real time duties we must perform..!!

To make a long story short... I had been using PhotoPlay's "Stuck on You" Collection and it was full of greens and yellows that was part of this week's Colour Challenge over at Hip Kit Club.. I chose pink as my third colour and crafted a page with an adorable photo of my Daughter-in-Law and precious Granddaughter...

CSI 352 - Best Friends for Life...

I've stepped away from scrapbooking for awhile but I wanted to scrap this amazing photo of my granddaughter Jaelin with one of her fur babies, Layla.. Layla is a Birman breed, said to be very affectionate with people and have those incredibly blue eyes..

Since the colour blue and Cats were featured in the Case file for #352.. I decided to play along. It also gave me an opportunity to experiment with using Cut Files... I think they are an amazing addition to our Scrapbooking arsenal...!!

The papers are from a very old My Minds Eye Collection - Bohemia - and this paper is called "Just be You Paisley/Teal" I have used both sides of this particular paper... the teal colour was perfect as a backdrop to Layla's eyes...

The ephemera is from a PhotoPlay Sticker Sheet called "Stuck on You"...

The Cut File is from a 2020 December Collection by the Hip Kit Club..

I am VERY happy with how this turned out...

SCT - Smile...

Another Card from my April Sampler Kit from SCT..

I fussy cut the frog from a card.. I also fussy cut the lady bug and flowers from the papers.. layered them all on a top folding card base that I matted with the dark blue grid paper.. sat the frog on the "Smile" that was also part of the kit and my card was done...!!

SCT - Spring Wishes...

The new April Sampler is in from SCT , and in it there is a sweet stamp set from Gina K Designs called "Springy Flowers"... I fussy cut the Frog and bug from the "Fern & Willard" Collection by PhotoPlay papers and used some of the other pattern papers in the Kit to make a top folding A2 Card...

This is a cute card and I plan on sending in to a very dear friend of mine in a long term care facility... Hopefully, it will cheer her up..!!

SCT - Happy Birthday...

I have this beautiful stamp from Anita Jeram called "Birthday Wishes" and I wanted to make a Rocker Card with the last few pattern papers I had left from my March Sampler Kit from SCT..

I also wanted to see if I could re-create those beautiful watercolour  animals that are found in the infamous Peter Rabbit books...

I very much like how this turned out..and I really hope my granddaughter does, too..!!

SCT 2021 - Liam's Bday Card...

I had purchased this older Tim Holtz Robotic Die Set  awhile back and wanted to see if I could combine it with the Magic Iris Die Set from Lawn Fawn... after MUCH trial and error, I was able to make it work and I am thoroughly delighted with the outcome...!!

The pattern papers and birthday cake die cut came from the March Sampler from SCT while the rest of the card stock came from scraps in my personal stash..

This was kind of like having a baby... there was a lot of pain in giving it birth  BUT I am now thrilled about it all and looking forward to many more..... babies..??? LOL

Thanks for looking...!!

SCT 2021 - Thankful 02...

Still working with the March Sampler from SCT ... I suspect I am going to get a lot of mileage from this Concord & 9th Tulip Stamp that is part of the Kit...

I kept this very simple.. I created a frame and stamped it with one of the sentiments from the set.. then took a black pigment pen and randomly made dots on the inside of the frame... stamped, coloured then fussy cut the tulips...backed them all with foam tape and placed them on an A2 side folding card...

I also stamped the tulips on the inside of the card for a wee bit more interest..

This was a very simple card to make but I really love how elegantly it turned out..
