Another fun Vintage card with a stamp from a Stamperia Collection, that I lightly coloured and fussy cut.. Backed it with some foam tape and placed it on a matt, where I used several stamps to create a mixed media background...

The Professor 2023...

 

I am trying to make all of my Birthday Cards before the snow when I will need to spend more time outdoors..

I've had these stamps in my stash for awhile and was happy to finally get a chance to play with them.. I stamped the Professor on some Bristol Cardstock, added some skin tone markers and coppery brown markers, then fussy cut him out... added some foam tape and placed him on a background stamped matt.. added a few gears.. some distress inking... a word snip and voila... one more card done..!!

I am really obsessing with Tim Holtz these days.. I just love his layering dies and his vintage style is really perfect for my sons, sons-in-law and grandsons, too... as they are all more "mature" now..

I still feel like a novice with mixed media.. it is so messy and you never really know what the end result will look like.. However, I really enjoyed playing with my stencils, modelling paste, metallic paints and metallic rubs/waxes and I was VERY pleased with how it all turned out...

Yes indeed.. I suspect I will be exploring more of his vintage dies/stamps and style for the next little while..

It's been a minute since I have posted anything. Being a caregiver for the past few years meant managing my time differently. However, in November 2022, my Father passed away at the ripe old age of 96.. and after catching my breath physically and emotionally, I felt it was time to start posting again.

I love making cards and it seems as though folks like getting them, too..!!

I really enjoyed these Tim Holtz dies.. although, my aging eyes are permanently crossed with layering those Mini Brushtroke Flowers..!! but...Don't you just LOVE that Bunny..??
