School Days...

Happy New Year!!
It's actually been almost a year since I worked on a layout, although I did satisfy my creative urges with a fair amount of card making!! I have rejoined the amazing Design Team over at CSI and this is my entry for Challenge #246.
My background was all stamping, allowing me to apply all those yummy colours from the pallet.
Debbi T. has opened up the challenges to being more "Freestyle" for those who feel stymied by following a more traditional set of criteria... I must admit I find that very appealing myself! However I did use the Colour Scheme and items from the Evidence Clues, as follows...
Everyone is welcome to come and play along. There are also some amazing prizes to be won, too!

 -  I really liked the colour combo in this pallet.

 - White Background
 - Swiss Dots
 - Stripes
 - Text Print - stamped
 - Tea Cup
 - Border Punch (Zig Zag by EK Success)
 - Hearts
 - Tag

 - Even though the picture doesn't really need a lot of explaining, I did journal on the back of the layout:
"It makes me smile to see this photo of Liam asleep on top of his homework. It reminds me of his Mom and Uncles adjusting the same way, to being back at school after their summer vacation! "

  1. Beautiful layout!I love how you stamped the background and how you combined the colors❤

  2. Wonderful photo and I love the teacup and the ric rac trim. Great solving of the case, TFS at CSI!

  3. It's nice to have you back, Debbi. ☺
I love the clean, uncluttered look of your layout. The simple design is really eye-pleasing. I love the old-fashioned image of the little boy/girl in the teacup. It's perfect for the photo of your grandson. The tag hanging from the handle, the stamped title, the background stamping in different colours of ink, all show your attention to detail. Beautiful. TFS.

    1. Thank you Jacynthe...I really enjoyed and appreciated your overview my layout..and it's nice to be back..I missed scrapbooking.. I hope you're staying warm over there! :)

  4. Such a sweet and perfect photo for this Case File! Love that little vintage girl in a teacup and your number border with the zig-zag. Love your style so much, Debbi!

  5. Just such an awesome photo! Love your title work and that girl in the cup is such a wonderful touch to draw attention to your photo!

  6. Love the clean and tidy look of your page. Awesome title and photo:-)
