CSI 252 - You Rock...

Another week and another case over at CSI so come and play along for a chance to win prizes from our many terrific sponsors and of course the fun of creating a wonderful scrapbook page. Best of all, you will find a ton of inspiration from our great CSI Detectives and Guest Detectives, too..!!
For Case #252 I chose to stay with the traditional  format using the colour palette and 12 of the clues. I kept with a simple design, although there was a lot of stamping for the background and my handmade embellishments..
Below are more on the details...!!
:)

THE SCHEME:
- I was able to use all of the colours from this case's palette..although the teal version of the blue which is in my sky looks much lighter in the photo...

THE EVIDENCE:
- Solid White Cardstock
- Clouds
- Sun
- Architectural Elements
- Animals ( my Alien Critters )
- Labels
- Hand drawn elements ( The black outline of the page )
- Stamping ( all of the Alien Critters were stamped )

THE TESTIMONY:
- As with most of my pages I hope the photo and layout itself tell the better part of the story and in this case I simply added the names of the "Criminals" and when/where the "Crime" took place..!! LOL

School Days...

Happy New Year!!
It's actually been almost a year since I worked on a layout, although I did satisfy my creative urges with a fair amount of card making!! I have rejoined the amazing Design Team over at CSI and this is my entry for Challenge #246.
My background was all stamping, allowing me to apply all those yummy colours from the pallet.
Debbi T. has opened up the challenges to being more "Freestyle" for those who feel stymied by following a more traditional set of criteria... I must admit I find that very appealing myself! However I did use the Colour Scheme and items from the Evidence Clues, as follows...
Everyone is welcome to come and play along. There are also some amazing prizes to be won, too!
:)

THE SCHEME:
 -  I really liked the colour combo in this pallet.

THE EVIDENCE:
 - White Background
 - Swiss Dots
 - Stripes
 - Text Print - stamped
 - Tea Cup
 - Border Punch (Zig Zag by EK Success)
 - Hearts
 - Tag

THE TESTIMONY:
 - Even though the picture doesn't really need a lot of explaining, I did journal on the back of the layout:
"It makes me smile to see this photo of Liam asleep on top of his homework. It reminds me of his Mom and Uncles adjusting the same way, to being back at school after their summer vacation! "
