Isn't she the cutest little Inky Antic Snowgirl..?? one of my Black Friday Treasures....

I wanted to try a blending-water stain technique I've seen with distress inks and I really like the look of it, especially for a soft, snowy background..

Colour/blending with my new Spectrum Noir Markers... a little bit of glossy accents...a frame made with my Lawn Fawn small Stitched rectangle thinlit... and my spellbinders square nestabilities... popped it up with some dimensional tape.. et Voila!!

I was delighted to find this cute stamp set from Lawn Fawn... you can never have enough Get Well cards!!
I also had a chance to play with my new Spectrum Noir Markers... that I bought when I visited my son in NYC for Thanksgiving and got to go to JoAnn's Fabrics on Black Friday... needless to say... I spent a lot of his inheritance there!! hee hee

Halloween...

 

The leaves are beginning to change colour and some are falling...kids have been back in school for the past month and soon it will be my favourite time of Autumn.... Halloween!! 
I based this card on  sketch challenge #508 from Splitcoast Stampers.. sketches are wonderful starting points for those days when I can't think of anything!! hee hee

I wanted to make a Baby card..and as I finished I realized that this top folding card could be more versatile. I could see it as a Birthday, Get Well, Love. Friend, etc..

- I used a new "Hello" by Pink Paislie - 01247 stamp/die set  I recently purchased..

- Faux Letterpressed the background matt with an older Cuttlebug Folder - Candy Cane Stripe - 37-1929 and Picked Raspberry Distress Ink by Tim Holtz

- Heat embossed the flowers, sentiment and paper-pieced umbrella with American Standard Zing Opaque white Embossing Powder and Versamark Embossing Ink.

- Tied two bows with some Twinery Bakers Twine and Voila!!

It's a Parade...!!

 

I live in a very small town.... but it's full of wonderful folks who like to celebrate life..and it shows in our Annual Parade that is held at the same time as our County's Exhibition...with lots of Farm Animals, Tractor Pulls..Horse Racing, Cotton Candy and a Fun Fairground full of rides...

I couldn't help myself...hee hee

I really liked the water color card I made a few days ago... and wanted to re-created it as a birthday card.... I added a few more flowers and green foliage.. filling out the white space even more...

The taller flowers remind me of Lupins, a wild flower which grows profusely here on Prince Edward Island in June...maybe that's why I like them so much!! hee hee
