Christmas Card #2 - 2013...
I had recently purchased several dies from the Tim Holtz Christmas Collection - 2013 and couldn't wait to play with them.,... and here is the Ice Skates Die... isn't is GORGEOUS?? hee hee.. I suspect I will get many years of enjoyment and use from them.. they are a Classic!!
The background mat is once again a faux lettepress technique..I really like the texture it gives to a card....
A little white acrylic paint around the edges and Voila..we'll call it done!!

I just ordered this die because it's on sale. I have a daughter who figure skates and I thought these skates would be so handy for cards for her and her team. What did you use on the blades? I love the texture. If you have a recipe for how you made this card and are willing to share, I'd love it! P.S. I'm broke too. I went digital with my scrapbooking (which doesn't save any money but saves space) and I love card making. I agree with you that we totally NEED this stuff! LOL!
ReplyDeleteHi Becky...I think you'll enjoy your die, especially as your daughter figure skates...I don't actually have a "recipe" for this card.. but I used Zing Silver embossing powder on the blades... all the other products are listed above.... Have fun!
