Remembering...

This is my final submission as a Guest Designer at CSI for the month of March... it's been truly challenging as I had not been scrapbooking for almost a year, although I have been card making... however similar they may seem..the two are still very different mediums..
I certainly appreciated the opportunity to be a part of such an inspiring team... it's always good to push yourself that wee bit further....
This weeks challenge was about childhood and it gave me some very special moments looking through some awfully fond memories...
Come and play along...!!

Big Girl Toys...

Come play along with Case 194 over at CSI  ..It helps to have such a wonderful sketch by Emma Stafrace..!!
I looked through so many photos of my kids and grandkids looking for toys and such... but none really "spoke" to me.... until I looked around my own craft room... and realized how many toys I had and how much fun I have playing with them..
Of course there is not enough room on a scrap page to show them ALL.....!

Love...

This is my vision of Case 192 over at CSI... I love vintage, it's like spending time with an old friend.. maybe that's because so often I am working with heritage photos of my family and feel like I am honoring their lives and re-connecting with them on a very personal level...
This is a photo of my great maternal grandmother.. Her parents come over from Ireland during the Potato Famine.... they worked very hard to make a living and I am very proud to be a small part of their story.

#Me...

This is my first entry as a March Guest Designer over at CSI .. Come play along!
One of the options we had for Case 193 to journal about was our name... and since mine goes right back to the Book of Judges in the Bible I was pretty excited to create a scrap page around it..  also to show a little of my own personal history (all the way from Israel to PEI, Canada) to boot! hee hee
I like a lot of dimension on my pages, without too much bulk.. so I rely on texture to create shadow and depth.... in this case... the corrugated paper.... layering with embossed-stamped-fussy cut images.. raised lettering that I cut out with my Cricket Expression...and some string hanging off of my hidden journaling adds some "interest" to the page, too..!
