Let's Imagine...

It's been forever since I created a scrap page and I have so many wonderful pictures to scrap! I love CSI for their inspirational challenges... they really help me get back in the saddle.... even if I feel I have forgotten EVERYTHING about scrapbooking!! hee hee
I am following along with Challenge #187.. and for those who follow my blog, try a scrap page... it's fun and very rewarding, too!!
I used a LOT of Tim Holtz Stamps, Stencils and inks here, along with a Heidi Swapp die for the title!

Valentine Card 04...

I fell in love with this stamp set  ( Simon Say Stamp - Lila's Heart - sss101531 ) as soon as I saw it. I have used it quite often and suspect that it has a lot more mileage on it!!
I am also enjoying my Zig Clean Color Markers.. they are VERY forgiving for a novice like me!! hee hee

Valentine Card 03...

I created this card for a young boy.. thinking that too many hearts might not be as interesting for him! hee hee
The main focal image is an older stamp from Inkadinkado that I heat embossed, then colored with my zig clean water color markers.. the hearts were stamped then cut out... outlined in black and glued to the card for extra dimension... a little border doodling and that's about it... easy peasy, eh?

Valentine Card 02...

I've (kinda) said to myself that I would buy less craft supplies this year and focus on all the stuff I already have.... let's see how that works out!! hee hee
This is my second Valentine card.. the image is from an older Pink Paislee Stamp/Die set called "Pen Pals" - 01262
Again I used my Prima Water Colour Pencils... and a Stitched Recangle Mat I die cut from Lawn Fawn..
I outlined the hearts so they would pop more.. and added some glossy accents.. this is actually a very easy card to make especially if you wanted to mass produce it..!!

Valentine Card 01...

I finally put my Christmas Stamps away and pulled out my Valentine ones!!
I came across this gorgeous older wooden stamp by "Anita".. unfortunately it doesn't have any bar coding on it :(
I stamped it onto a Stitched rectangle base that I die cut from Lawn Fawn.. coloured it with my Prima water colour pencils..glossy accented the flowers..masked it and used my Tumbled Glass Distress Ink to Halo it...
The sentiment is also from an older stamp set by Inkadinkado - With all my heart - 60-30299
Placed it on a pale pink background.. then mounted it on an A2 card..
Sooooo pretty!

A Note of Thanks...

Challenges are such a great way to get inspired and it was just how I felt playing along with the January Challenge (Highlighted Background) over at LiveLoveCards - http://livelovecards.com/ - hosted by the incredibly talented Darlene DeVries.

For my background and primary image.. I used an older background stamp in my stash from The Montage Collection - K-3107 ( I have no idea if it is even available anymore as the date on the stamp is 2000)
I stamped the background in Yellow Ochre Chalk Ink by Color Box. I stamped it again in VersaFine Black Onyx Ink and fussy cut the main image from that..

I offset the focal image on an A2 card..threw in some hearts that I punched from an assortment of punches in my stash... added some Glossy Accents here and there.. outlined the image  with a black liner pen, added my sentiment... et Voila!

Baby Card...

What better way to start the New Year then with a New Baby !
This image is from an old wooden stamp that I have had forever... but there is no manufacturer's name on it.... sorry...
Flower punches are from Martha Stewart and EK-Success
The leaves are from a Winnie & Walter Die - "In Bloom: Maggie's Roses Cutaways"
I used my good old standby "Swiss Dots - 37-1604" embossing folder from Cuttlebug
I got to use my Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers...
A little "Wink of Stella" and some "Glossy Accents" and voila!
Happy New Year..!
